Taqueria Doña Raquel, serving the people of South Florida with Mexican tradition

Taqueria Doña Raquel is recognized as one of the most iconic family-owned Mexican restaurants in Pompano Beach. Customers who enter are greeted with friendly staff and are presented with an open-kitchen concept that brings in depth and a beautiful atmosphere. 

The restaurant opened it's doors in 2002 and has achieved a reputation that has instilled a tradition into the hearts of many Floridians. What began as a mere meat market a couple of years prior.

With its rapid rise in popularity, Taqueria Dona Raquel captivated the likes of local and national reporters. Most recently, Univision, a mexican-american network station, famously made a visit during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Group Stage game against Brazil and interviewed Doña Raquel, her family, and her staff. Broward-Palm Beach New Times also visited the restaurant in 2016 to gain insight into her success. Sebastian Ligarde, Hector Soberon, who are well-known celebrities within the latino community, also made visits to La Taqueria.

Doña Raquel's recipes date back to the days when she was just a young girl with a huge ambition to learn from her grandmother. After several years, she began to introduce her own style. Her ingredients brought much success to the restaurant and will continue to do so for many years to come.
